I am registering a new Oxford plug-in, but I get a Upgrade Warning Message. What does this mean?

If you have purchased an Oxford plug-in, with a product code ending in "G2", for example, PTHREQG2, PTLREQG2 or PCREQG2, you do NOT have the latest version of the plug-in and a chargeable upgrade MAY be required to work with your system configuration.

G2 plug-ins were manufactured around 4 years ago, and changes to operating systems and audio production software have required changes to be made to Oxford plug-in software.

What does this mean?

G2 Oxford plug-ins for Pro Tools TDM will not work with Pro Tools 7 or Intel Mac computers.  No native RTAS, VST or Audio Units licences are included.

G2 Oxford plug-ins for Pro Tools LE/M-Powered will not work with Pro Tools 7 or Intel Mac computers.  No native VST or Audio Units licences are included.

G2 Oxford plug-ins for PowerCore will not work with Intel Mac computers or iLok.  No native RTAS, VST or Audio Units licences are included.

What should you do?

If you have purchased a G2 Oxford plug-in, and your system configuration does not require you to upgrade your plug-in, then you may register and activate your plug-in.  Should you subsequently upgrade your computer or DAW version, a plug-in upgrade may be required and our normal upgrade fees will apply.

If you believe that your system configuration will not support the G2 Oxford plug-in, EITHER :

DO NOT register or activate the plug-in and contact the vendor for an exchange or refund

or.....

Complete the registration and activation; then follow our normal upgrades procedure, as outlined in a separate FAQ, for which upgrade fees will apply.

PTLxxxG2 upgrade fees currently GBP 20.00 per plug-in.
PTHxxxG2 upgrade fees currently GBP 25.00 per plug-in.
PCxxxxG2 upgrade fees currently GBP 40.00 per plug-in.

IMPORTANT!

NEW Sonnox products purchased directly from www.sonnoxplugins.com OR from a Sonnox-approved dealer or distributor using the Sonnox MEDIA PACK system, will always be the latest version, and/or will qualify for free upgrades within 90 days of registration, should a new version be released during this time.
