Support Helpsheet - A Step-by-Step guide to upgrading your Sonnox Oxford Plug-Ins

Before you can upgrade your Sonnox plug-in, you need to know it's serial number. You can request an email reminder of your serial numbers by clicking here.

Upgraded Sonnox licences will be deposited into your iLok account. You must log on to your iLok.com account and download the new licences to your iLok. In doing this, you will surrender your old licence, so please ensure that you have the iLok that contains the old licence available.

Click here to open the upgrade utility in a new browser window, and follow these instructions :

1. Enter your Sonnox plug-in serial number, your iLok user ID* and press 'Submit'.

*PowerCore users may be upgrading older Sonnox plug-ins that use their PowerCore ID for authorisation instead of iLok. If so, before you upgrade, you must know your PowerCore ID, have set up an iLok account and have registered an iLok to that account. For more information about iLok, click here.

If you are upgrading more than one plug-in, press 'Add' after each one, then 'Checkout' when you've finished. We will now confirm the total upgrade fee. Click here for details.

2. Please read and accept the licence Terms and Conditions, and provide your personal details as requested.

3. Next, provide your credit/debit card details as requested by the WorldPay system.

4. Once your payment has been authorised, we will ask you to register your upgrades with iLok. Please supply your iLok user ID (if requested) and select your OS and host type. We will check your details with iLok.com. If your details are correct, please press "Yes I confirm".

5. We will display your new software downloads page.

Before you install your new software, we recommend that you first remove any previous version of the Oxford plug-in from your plug-in folder, either by dragging onto the desktop, or creating a new unused plug-ins folder.

6. You will receive emails providing your invoice, new plug-in serial numbers and a special download URL for each Oxford plug-in you have upgraded, which will provide access to your installers when typed into an Internet browser on any internet-connected computer.

Please keep a copy of your registration details safe, as they will be required for future support and accessing your installers. If you do not receive your emails, please contact support@sonnoxplugins.com.

7. Before you can use your upgraded Oxford plug-ins, you must download the new licence to your iLok.

* It is important that you insert your iLok containing the old licence into a spare USB port on your computer and we recommend that you do not use a USB hub for this process. *This is not relevant to older PowerCore-authorised plug-in upgrades.

Go to www.ilok.com and enter your user ID and password.

Click on the 'Download Licences' link.

Synchronise your iLok.

Tick the required licence(s), select your iLok and hit 'Download Licences'. This will surrender your old licence(s) in favour of the new one(s).
