Support - Sonnox PowerCore plug-ins

As a result of the announcement in January 2011 that TC Electronic has ceased further development of the PowerCore product range, we regretfully announce the end of product development for the Sonnox PowerCore plug-ins range. Latest versions of Sonnox PowerCore plug-ins have been tested and verified with currently supported Operating Systems and DAW applications. However, as it will become increasingly difficult to support the plug-ins as Operating Systems and DAWs evolve, the correct action is to withdraw Sonnox PowerCore plug-ins from general sale.
Compatibility of latest versions The latest versions of Sonnox PowerCore plug-ins (product codes ending in 'G4') and the PowerCore X8 Sonnox Edition EQ and Dynamics plug-ins (product codes ending in 'G35') have been tested with Windows 7, Mac OSX 10.6.8 Snow Leopard and OSX 10.7 Lion. No issues have been found. Both versions also now support PowerCore 6000, on Windows and Mac platforms. Latest Sonnox PowerCore plug-ins are compatible with PowerCore v3 and v4 drivers.
Sonnox PowerCore plug-ins authorised by iLok, and whose product codes end with 'G3' or 'G4', use iLok licence bundles which contain both PowerCore and Native licences. Links to download native RTAS, VST and Audio Units installers are included in your Sonnox registration emails. If you intend not to use PowerCore in future, nor share projects with other Sonnox G4 PowerCore plug-in users, we recommend that you uninstall or remove the PowerCore versions from your plug-in folder, and install the native versions instead, using these for future work. Earlier Sony PowerCore plug-ins (product codes ending in 'G2') are authorised by a single PowerCore ID. They do not require an iLok for authorisation. They are not compatible with Intel Mac computers nor provide native support. Registered owners may upgrade their existing plug-ins to the final iLok versions featuring PowerCore/Native switching plus standalone native licence. The upgrade fee is currently 40.00 GBP per plug-in. The next generation iLok-authorised Sonnox PowerCore plug-ins (product codes ending in 'G3') are compatible with PowerCore v2 drivers only. They are not compatible with Intel Macs, nor provide PowerCore/Native switching. However, the licence bundles incorporate standalone native licences which are Intel-Mac compatible. The upgrade fee from G3 to the final G4 PowerCore version is currently 15.00 GBP per plug-in. Please remember that an upgrade from G3 to G4 will not upgrade the native licence, only the PowerCore licence.
Owners of PowerCore X8 Sonnox Edition bundles may upgrade their PowerCore-only Oxford EQ and Dynamics plug-ins to the final full retail versions, which include PowerCore/Native switching and standalone native licences. Click here for further details.
Although there will be no further development of the Sonnox PowerCore plug-ins, the bundled native versions will be fully supported in the future. As new native updates become available, eg. for native 64-bit applications, registered Sonnox PowerCore customers may upgrade their Sonnox PowerCore bundles - retaining the final release versions of PowerCore plug-ins, and receiving updated native licences and installers. It is not possible to transfer registered ownership of Sonnox PowerCore plug-ins (product codes ending in 'G2') that use a single PowerCore ID for authorisation. Where registered Sonnox PowerCore licences are held in an iLok, it will remain possible to transfer the licences subject to our standard Terms and Conditions of transfer. Please remember that PowerCore licences and native licences are bundled together, and cannot be transferred separately.
The Sonnox PowerCore plug-in range is no longer available to purchase from the Sonnox website or from Sonnox dealers.
