Sony Oxford Plugins has become an independent company, Sonnox Ltd, and is no longer a division of Sony UK. The new company, whose team members remain the same, will continue to support and promote the existing range of Oxford Plug-ins, as well as concentrating on new innovations to expand the product line.

"The Sony Oxford Plugins reputation for quality and performance reflects the pedigree of our products," says Sonnox Managing Director, Rod Densham. "As an independent company with global recognition, we are dedicated to improving and expanding these tools. We are confident Sonnox can look forward to a future of continued growth, starting with the launch of our Native versions for Audio Units and VST at Musikmesse 2007."

Sonnox Sales & Marketing Manager, Nathan Eames, reports that an expansion of the Sales and Marketing team is planned to meet growing product demand. "We are in a great position to continue in our quest in making Oxford Plugins THE name in high quality audio processing," Eames said. "Our engineering, management and marketing teams represent a unique combination of product knowledge, industry awareness and decades of professional audio experience. We anticipate an exciting future for this energetic and forward-thinking company."

In a promotion marking the beginning of the new company, Sonnox is offering a free Oxford TransMod plug-in to anyone who purchases and registers an Oxford Plugins bundle between April 16th and May 31st 2007. Bundles are available for ProTools TDM, Native (AU, VST, ProTools LE) and Powercore platforms and can be custom created by choosing anything from two to six plug-ins.
